Forbes Coaches Council: A beckoning

Modern workaday madness sees us all trying to get ahead of ourselves. In the frenzy of noise and self-doubt that punctuate our lives, occasionally some nice little bird of good news lands on our windowsill. This time it was the invitation to the Forbes Coaches Council. I am sure it won't mean I am required to wear a velvet suit and walk with a cane, because if it does, I really need an excuse to do so and that will be the end of me. I wait to hear what the dress code is.
In the meantime, it's nice to know some other people seem to respect you but I would never let that become a calling card. After all, if i had wanted to court respect I would have stayed a doctor.
Effectiveness beats respectability if I were to choose between the two. Thankfully sometimes you can have a bit of both. Maybe that's what the invite really means.
